Die Schweizer Sopranistin Nora Bertogg absolvierte ihre Studien an der Zürcher Hochschule der Künste sowie an der Hochschule der Künste Bern im Schweizer Opernstudio. Im Sommer 2022 schloss sie ausserdem den Master of Arts Musicpedagogy bei Sarah Maria Sun sowie Sandra Trattnigg an der Hochschule für Musik Luzern mit Auszeichnung ab.
Am Luzerner Theater war Nora Bertogg in der Saison 22/23 in der Produktion STYX Tours - Ein Rendezvous mit dem Tod, eine Koproduktion mit Lucerne Festival, als Sopranistin zu hören. In der Saison 21/22 war sie ausserdem in der Schweizer Erstaufführung von Pascal Dusapins Oper Perelà als Papagei sowie in dem Musiktheater Klangtauchen engagiert. Am Theater Biel/Solothurn sang Nora Bertogg u.a. La Ciesca in Gianni Schicci, das Liftgirl in La notte di un nevrastenico von Nino Rota sowie Miss Pinkerton in Menottis The old maid and the thief. Des Weiteren war sie am Davos Festival 2016 in der Oper Die Schweizerfamilie (Joseph Weigl) in der Rolle der Gertrude Boll zu hören.
Ein besonderes Interesse der Sängerin gilt der Interpretation von zeitgenössischen, performativen Werken. Es entstand mitunter das Solo Voice Programm YESS I SAID I SAID YESS mit szenischen Interpretationen, u.a. von Benjamin Scheuer, Tona Scherchen-Hsiao, Iris ter Schiphorst, Georges Aperghis und Elliott Sharp. Im März 2026 konzertierte sie mit dem Trio Catch im Gare du Nord und sang u.a. eine Uraufführung von Jannik Giger. Weitere solistische Auftritte am Frakzionen Festival Bielefeld (DE), Festival KlangART Vision (DE), mit Orchestrina Chur mit Bachs Stabat Mater, mit Opera Viva, beim Rahn Continuo Konzert 2019, bei Inscriptum in dem Musiktheater ich&er, in den Eigenproduktionen Sanglots, Von Lieb und Leid sowie einer gekürzten Fassung von Così fan tutte. Im Herbst 2018 sang sie in einer konzertanten Version Ausschnitte aus Leonard Bernsteins West Side Story, Candide und Wonderful Town im Rüttihubelbad in Bern.
Swiss soprano Nora Bertogg completed her studies at Zurich University of the Arts as well as at Bern University of the Arts in the Swiss Opera Studio. In summer 2022 she also completed the Master of Arts Music Pedagogy with Sarah Maria Sun and Sandra Trattnigg at the Lucerne University of Music, passing with distinction.
During season 22/23 Nora Bertogg was heard at Lucerne Theater as soprano soloist in the production STYX Tours - Rendezvous with Death, a co-production with Lucerne Festival. In season 21/22 she was also engaged as Parrot in the Swiss premiere of Pascal Dusapins opera Perelà as well as in the musical theater Klangtauchen. At Theater Biel Solothurn, Nora Bertogg sang La Ciesca in Gianni Schicci (Puccini) and Liftgirl in La notte di un nevrastenico (Nino Rota) as well as Miss Pinkerton in Menottis The Old Maid and the Thief. Furthermore she was heard at Davos Festival for young artists 2016 in the opera The Swiss Family (Joseph Weigl) as Gertrude Boll.
A special interest of the singer lies in the interpretation of contemporary and performative music. This has resulted in the solo voice program YESS I SAID I SAID YESS with scenic interpretations of works by Benjamin Scheuer, Tona Scherchen-Hsiao, Iris ter Schiphorst, Georges Aperghis and Elliott Sharp, among others. In March 2026 she performed with the Trio Catch at Gare du Nord and sang, among other pieces, a world premiere by Jannik Giger. Other performances as soloist include Frakzionen Festival Bielefeld (DE), Festival KlangART Vision (DE), Bachverein Chur, Orchestrina Chur with Bachs Stabat Mater, Opera Viva, Rahn Continuo Concert 2019, a shortened version of Così fan tutte and the recitals SANGLOTS and Von Lieb und Leid. In 2018 she performed excerpts from Leonard Bernsteins West Side Story, Candide and Wonderful Town at Rüttihubelbad in Bern.
Nora Bertogg is a dedicated artist to art of Lied. In 2023 she performed both in Switzerland and abroad, including collaborations with the renowned guitarist Christoph Denoth and with harpist Isabel Goller. She is also part of Ensemble Lyrix with the unusual combination of voice, cello, and harp. They currently present the staged concert OBSCURA including a commissioned composition by Ryan Latimer. In addition to her solo work, Nora Bertogg is also active in professional ensemble singing, performing with groups such as the Zurich Singing Academy and Ensemble Origen.
She received important artistic impulses through Hans Adolfsen, Christoph Berner and Edward Rushton, in collaboration with Jack Adler-McKean, Jesse Wong, Enrico Cacciari, Judit Polgar, Malin Hartelius and Andreas Zimmermann. She has worked with a variety of conductors such as Hermann Bäumer, Stefano Lano, Marco Zambelli, Franco Trinca, Andreas Felber, Clau Scherrer, Anita Jehli. Master classes with Edda Moser, Alessandra Althoff Pugliese and Krisztina Laki complete her education.
At Concours Nicati 2023, Swiss competition for contemporary music, Nora Bertogg received the 3rd prize in the solo interpretation category. She is also a prizewinner of the 7th John Cage Award Halberstadt, a scholarship holder of Rahn Kulturfonds and Thyll Foundation. She was awarded the sponsorship prize of the city of Chur as well as the cultural sponsorship prize of the canton of Graubünden.
Nora Bertogg widmet sich immer wieder dem Liedgesang. Im Jahr 2023 konzertierte sie im In- und Ausland u.a. mit dem renommierten Gitarristen Christoph Denoth sowie im Liedduo mit der Harfenistin Isabel Goller. Sie ist ausserdem Teil des Ensemble Lyrix mit der aussergewöhnlichen Besetzung Gesang, Cello und Harfe. Zurzeit konzertiert das Ensemble mit dem szenischen Programm OBSCURA, u.a. mit einer Auftragskomposition von Ryan Latimer. Nebst ihrer solistischen Tätigkeit widmet sich Nora Bertogg auch dem professionellen Ensemblegesang, u.a. mit der Zürcher Sing-Akademie sowie dem Ensemble Origen.
Wichtige künstlerische Impulse erhielt sie in der Liedklasse von Hans Adolfsen, Christoph Berner und Edward Rushton, in der Zusammenarbeit mit Jack Adler-McKean, Jesse Wong, Enrico Cacciari, Judit Polgar, Malin Hartelius, Andreas Zimmermann, David Thorner und Krishan Krone. Sie arbeitete schon mit verschiedensten Dirigenten und Dirigentinnen zusammen, u.a. mit Hermann Bäumer, Stefano Lano, Marco Zambelli, Franco Trinca, Andreas Felber, Clau Scherrer, Anita Jehli. Meisterkurse bei Edda Moser, Alessandra Althoff Pugliese und Krisztina Laki runden ihre Ausbildung ab.
Beim Concours Nicati Schweizer Wettbewerb für zeitgenössische Musik gewann Nora Bertogg 2023 den 3. Preis. Ausserdem ist sie Preisträgerin des 7. John Cage Awards Halberstadt, Stipendiatin des Rahn Kulturfonds und der Thyll Stiftung. Sie wurde mit dem Förderpreis der Stadt Chur sowie dem Kulturförderpreis des Kanton Graubündens ausgezeichnet.
